Julia Petiprin is an interior designer, hospitality consultant, and CEO of House of Departure, with over two decades of experience shaping bars, restaurants, and immersive guest environments. Her work blends thoughtful interior design, operational strategy, and storytelling to create spaces that are both visually compelling and highly functional.

Before founding her Cincinnati-based ventures, Julia built her foundation in the Los Angeles hospitality and design scenes, working with acclaimed hotels, bars, residential firms, and completing an extended internship at Hirsch Bedner Associates.

While working in hospitality, she earned a degree in Interior Design, graduating at the top of her class and participating in Chairing Styles at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

Julia’s hospitality concepts have received national recognition from The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Liquor.com, and other leading publications. Her design for Sundry and Vice earned “Best Overall Interior Design” at the Cincinnati Design Awards, reflecting her ability to create memorable, award-winning spaces that connect concept, atmosphere, and experience.
